My wife was complaining of little or no heat in her car.It is a 98 Olds LSS with the 3800 engine and auto climate control with dual zone heat and cooling. I took it for a ride and had it fully warmed up and noticed that the drivers side vents blow lukewarm heat and the passenger side blows cold air with the passenger side control turned all the way to warm.Would a malfunctioning thermostat cause this? I had it set on 90 degrees and the heat coming from the drivers vents was not hot.Any advice?
Thanks

I don't have an idea but I'd guess a vacume line is the problem , the doors that control the air flow may not be working, could be a lot more .

vacumn lines is my first, then second is thermostat. go in ur engine and trace every little vacumn line u can find, if one is cracked or misplaced then thats the one. those rubber hoses break all the time from heat and stuff

look under the dash. That is where heater ducting and air blend controls are located .

Don't know anything about GM's....but, on my BMW the heater control valves regulate up/down and left/right heat by regulating the hot water flow through the heater core. Maybe this is malfunctioning here.
