Auto battery memory saver

That's asking a lot of a 9v battery with today's computers but if it works, it works!

I had one with a cig lighter on one end and the obd on the other. Rigged it to a little motorcycle battery that didn't have the oomph to start anymore.

I got a Weego and it has a barrel connector with which I used my M12 heated gear holsters. But, it seemingly stopped working after virtually no use

Sounds good. Plugging into the OBD port is slick and out of the way.

BTW: Do cars with OBDIII (the new one with telemetry) even have a J1961 plug?
What? Obd3 is hypothetical, not a standard, and not on any modern vehicle. Although I’d say Tesla is pretty much doing what people think of when they think of “obd3”

I have a bunch of Bosch Max 12v tools (10.8v nominal). I removed the AC cord and circuit board from a spare Bosch charger and connected two wires from a female cigarette lighter adapter to the positive and negative connectors that are used to charge the tool battery. This is my 12v power source. I use this along with a ODB memory saver with an inline fuse and LED. So, I open the hood, turn off the ignition, remove the key, plug the ODB memory saver into the ODB port, confirm the LED comes on showing power, connect the the male and female cigarette lighter connectors, insert a fully charged tool battery into my power source, then close and lock the doors. When I disconnect the car battery, I place the end of the positive cable in an insulated electrician's glove, then swap out the batteries. Works like a charm.
