Audi at 12 Hours of Sebring

A few pics from today's 12 Hours of Sebring which is still in session as I write this. Audi has been winning for the last 7 years with their R8 and last year with the R10 TDI.

I took a bunch of pics, but I am apparently too slow for these cars and most of them came out like #@$%!. Sorry about that...

There was also the production R8 in the Audi tent, and it was getting a lot of attention...

That r10 sounds so strange motoring around. I usually go to the race at mosport. I'm a dyson fan these days since panoz left the old lmp-900 class. Those were the best sounding cars ever.

Pete,

Did you get a shot of the R8's headlights? I thought they were going to be all LED units. I'd like to see what they look like.

Jim,

I think it was the Nuvolari concept that had the all LED headlights. I didn't get to take a photo of the R8's front (crowds were in the way), but here's one from Audiworld:

Looks like regular xenon lowbeam plus some "sprinkles" on the perimeter.

Why did they ruin the looks of an otherwise very good looking car with that fuel filler panel in the darker color??

It's called a two-tone paint scheme. I'm sure you can order the car in any color you want.
