To those that use Motorcraft semi-syn 5w-20, you may want to stop in at your neighborhood Advance Auto Parts ASAP. I was in mine today, and discovered that they are now carrying FULL SYNTHETIC Motorcraft 5w-20! There it was, right next to the semi-syn Motorcraft. And the best part - it was only $4.99 a quart! Last time I called my Ford dealer, they wanted something like $8 or $9 per quart. I snatched up all but one, figuring I'd let somebody else at least see that AAP carries it. I am, however, somewhat tempted to go back and buy it to take a sample and send in to Blackstone for a virgin analysis. Would anybody be interested in seeing the results?

Good luck! I'm hoping you can get down there as well. This has got to be one of the best deals in synthetics in a long time; even if it is only a Group III.

Good oil no doubt but the PP deal and $15 rebate is better IMO. $5 for 5 qts after rebate, if you shop at Walmart, am I missing something?
 
That price per qt. indicates a lower price for a 5 qt jug may be available.
Only then it would be of interest to me, because $25 for 5 qts. can be bettered by all sorts of super duper oil right now.
 
This is really an issue of 'relativity', not one of trying to say Full Synthetic Motorcraft is the end-all-be-all. A lot of people love the Motorcraft 5w-20 semi-syn oil, but would prefer to use synthetic Motorcraft. However, up until now, it has only been readily available through Ford dealerships, and cost upwards of $8 a quart! Not saying it is one of the best synthetics out there, but now that it is available at roughly 40% of the dealership cost, it's one heck of a deal.

For those that are checking AAP website for it, they have it listed as "Motorcraft OIL ENG LUB". Haha, maybe they're trying to keep it a secret!

I don't mind the wait for the rebate, and prefer PP, especially at a buck/qt. Although with the $10 off coupon it might be worth a try for me.
 
With the exception of the PP rebate deal at Walmart, I think the 5qts of Motorcraft synthetic blend for $12.50 at Walmart is pretty tough to beat in terms of bang for the buck.

If people like the Full Synthetic version then just buy kendall gt1 Full Synthetic. It is the same product different bottle. Pep boys has it.
 
In recent memory some of these oil deals have been pretty good. I might give the MC full synthetic a shot in my E-150. My problem is I have enough PP, YB, Formula Shell, Peak Oil, and Amsoil to last a very, very, long time.
