ATF for Volvo S60

Hi Guys,
Am after some atf that meets the JWS 3309 spec....cant get the mobil 3309 atf over here in uk; almost sure that Saab 3309 atf is one & the same ( I can get this cheap as chips); can anyone confirm this for me( dont want to f**k my transmission up)? ( dont want to use Ansoil synthetic atf either).
Any input welcome.

MY 03; volvo suggest 'their' special fluid only; looking on web would appear that special fluid is Mobil 3309 atf which I cant get in the UK but it seems ( almost sure) that the Saab ATF for the 5 speed auto is the same stuff; looking to find confirmation here if possible ( volvo want approx £20-00 ltr whilst saab stuff is £4-00 ltr; hence my search before I do a transmission flush).

The correct fluid for your transmission is the Toyota T-IV or JWS3309 equivalent. Toyota T-IV can be purchased from any Toyota dealership.

Thanks for the info all; but can anyone find a cross ref for the JWS 3309 & Saab 3309 ATF,,,,,,,,sorry to bang on with the Saab connection but have plentiful & cheap supply of the stuff!!

See if you can get your hands on a bottle. Sometimes the label on the bottle will list all the cross-references of the specifications it meets.

They don't show a part number for the Saab oil, but if it meets the 3309 it is fine. Might look for the referenced GM part number on the bottle.

Wouldn't Valvoline (not Castrol) MerconV also work?

Or the Lubegard black HFM-ATF additive with regular ATF?
