Asian Blue Coolant

I heard in an earlier thread few months ago that Supertech coolant is made by Peak and that Supertech Asian Blue is Peak in a Supertech jug.

Does anyone know for sure who makes Supertech Asian Blue?

If it's Peak, count me in for Supertech. It's it's Prestone, count me out for Supertech.

Peak is available in a jugs of concentrate or 50/50. Supertech is available only in jugs of 50/50.

I like to put in concentrate after flushing system with distilled water. For top offs I like to put in 50/50.
I highly doubt it's Prestone when WalMart is also the #1 seller of Prestone. Rumor I heard was it's Reochem which I have used in the past. The label on Reochem Asian Blue is nearly identical to OEM Nissan.

I guess who makes Supertech doesn't matter. What I should have asked is Does Supertech contain 2EHA?

The current version of the SuperTech Asian Blue 50/50% Extended Life coolant is made by Old World Industries (i.e., PEAK). I doubt it is any different from the PEAK packaged product in the blue bottle. Here is the SDS for the current SuperTech Asian Blue which does not list 2EHA as an ingredient. It is notable that the SuperTech yellow AMAM coolant does list 2EHA in the SDS.

Interesting. I bought 1 gallon of Peak Asian Blue concentrate, but if I need a gallon of 50/50 in future I'll buy Supertec Asian Blue because it's ridiculously low cost and you said it's made by Peak and has no 2EHA. Sold!

Thanks for resfreshing my memory on that. My memory isn't the best. Also some posts by others in this thread made me wonder. Thank you!

Note: I've been having some memory issues, which might be old age, or might be a side effect of my blood pressure med which makes me groggy. Hopefully it's nothing more serious or I'll have to change my screen name to Drooling-Idiot.

AI says,

Yes, Super Tech OE Blue Antifreeze Prediluted 50/50 is formulated with 2-Ethylhexanoic acid (2-EHA), also known as Sodium 2-Ethyl Hexanoate.
2-EHA functions as a corrosion inhibitor in coolants, helping to protect engine components from rust and degradation. However, some sources suggest that 2-EHA can potentially damage silicone components found in some engine models, particularly in heavy-duty applications where silicone seals are more common.
YMMV
