Armorall Extreme Shield Wax- Any experience???

I just got a new car and the Armorall was given to me as a gift. Otherwise, I would have just bought a wax that is known to be good like Mothers or Meguiar's. I am very new to the car waxing thing since I have always owned used cars and never bothered to wax them.

Is this product any good? I look on Amazon to check to reviews but Amazon doesn't even have this product listed!

I have used it and think it is pretty good especially for a new car. It is super easy to apply and wipe off. Gives a great shine on a black finish. It doesn't seem to live up to the 'dirt and grime" claims to the extent I expected, based on my use of their wheel spray, which works great. Not sure about its longevity since I can't seem to keep from re waxing about every month or so at least with some spray products when the car is slightly dirty. It does seem to seal the paint surface quite well.

Now I just need to figure out a day where it isn't freezing to wash my car. I may end up clay barring it first. Even though it is a brand new car and I bought it 2 weeks ago, it was a 2012 model so it probably sat at the dealership parked outside for 3-4 month.

If you're gonna go through the effort of claying the car you might as well do a separate polish and wax. Get a good pure polish like Meguiars M205 and then Wax with a really durable wax like Collinite 845. The results would positively blow any other OTC wax away and will be much more durable.

You'll need a machine to apply the M205 but I've found a cheap 6" random orbital waxer with a wool bonnet is adequate in removing light swirling and restore a deep shine better than anything you can do by hand.
