TOO many to list. Point ignition, front drum brakes, EGR, smog pump were a few.air-cooled yada yada yada.
I like Japanese brands in particular and have owned nothing but since the mid 90's.
All of my cars are clean, inside and out. There is no trash or wrappers. Any debris gets vacuumed on a regular basis and the interior and exterior get cleaned on a regular basis by me. Even the engine bay gets dusted and a SIO2 treatment on the plastic.

I'm an American made snob. Must have a domestic branded car with a decent % of domestic parts. We have to look out for each other.

Glad I'm not the only one who cares. My Escape was assembled in Missouri.

Same here. I don't understand the persona of people who's cars look like pig sties.
For me, the clutter is mostly tools, clothes, chargers and cables and crap that I need on a regular basis. I try to keep the garbage to a minimum, but I do get inundated with receipts that I have to keep for expenses and taxes purposes. I don't like to be inconvenienced by not having something I need - aside from that, There's RARELY anyone else in my car or driving it so it's not that big of a deal to me. However having pretty severe agoraphobia and social anxiety, I often will eat my lunch in my car - sometimes there's not always a trash can nearby or in the summer, water bottles can pile up. I do clean my car out weekly, but there's still clutter when I get rid of the garbage.
In short, for me its a mix of lazyness/not caring, being too busy, and mental illness.
Otherwise, I'm not a snob about anything except work that I pay to have done. If there's something I can't do and have to pay someone to do, they darn well better do it right.
