Are vehicles exempt from inspections after 25 years of age in Texas?

Now this is different than them going away from safety inspections and emissions tests in the smaller counties just to clarify. I'm just talking about any vehicle 25 years or older is exempt. Does that mean I just roll around with no sticker at all? Seems like a great way to get pulled over regardless

After 24 years old just safety inspections "were" still needed, the emissions inspection requirement came off. The only privately owned vehicles that did not have to have a safety inspection were those with antique/collector vehicle registration.
The reason I say "were" is because as of Jan 1st safety inspections are no longer needed. The emission inspection is still needed in 17 counties. The windshield sticker is the same and is still required to be shown, it is just for registration in the counties that don't require emission inspections. Texas does not issue license plate stickers for motor vehicles like most other states.
