Are there any (other) folks that won't...

Does not compute. Does not compute... Why would you want to be a socialist farmer? (There are some folks here who don't much care for socialists, so you might want to keep that a little closer to the vest!) And why would you make such an announcment of your political and agricultural tendencies on a Wal-Mart thread?

Just because someone has an opinion about something that differs from your own does not mean they'd like to force you, or even want you, to change what you do or how you do it. You are as free as a bird to be a socialist farmer, if that is your thing.

You know, I can't tell you how many times I have heard people say this, and then I see them in Walmart later on. Especially local business people who feel threatened by the competition. They want to sell to people at high prices and go to Walmart and buy at low prices.

If you don't like Walmart that's your business, just quit trying to convince others.

Hypocrites one and all.

Why would I stop trying to convinve other stop going there? I am no hypocrite, and I don't go there. Sometimes, after I've told folks of all of the things shopping at Wal-Mart supports, they *stop*, and that makes me feel awful warm and fuzzy.

Please remember, someone started a thread ASKING if there were people here who wouldn't go there. When someone posts something, though, contrary to your own One Right, they are supposed to stop talking unless and until they can come up with something more suited to your tastes?

Perhaps that's why you're a little quick to label someone other than yourself a hypocrite?

Terrific! They also give a zillion bucks to all sorts of worthwhile charities and so on and so forth; and because all the jobs are leaving so manufacturers can keep supplying places like Wal-Mart, Wal-Mart comes in real handy for all them broke families who appreciate the lower prices.

I don't recall saying they threw bombs at babies or laid in carnal congress with goat devils; I just said that *I* - JUST ME, NOT YOU - have this particular view of things.

I wonder what the average salary is for all the associates? $7 or 8/hour?
Or how walmart tries to keep everyone as a part-time employee to avoid providing benefits?

Basically you trade local independent business owners (and hopefully knowledgeable, decently paid employees) with decent products they aren't embarrassed to sell, for a bunch of minimum wage part time jobs and a couple of managers who can follow the walmart scripts selling junk from offshore.

As a fellow Montanan, I have to say I embarrassed to read "Zedheds" posts of name-calling and the inability to carry out a constructive thread.
This is why 99% of internet conversations get locked/deleted.
There's always some bonehead that makes a post their personal soap box for shutting people up.
Really Zedhed, you've done nothing but prove your ignorance here.
I have feelings about Wal*MArt based on data. Data on how they treat employees, how they farm out labor to abusive cultures, and other ways to save a buck.
NONE of those were mentioned in my QUESTION. I merely asked if I was alone, given the number of "get it at "Wal*Mart" replies here.
It's important to me as I don't shop there.
If I can only get an oil in WM, I'm shut out of the market for that product.
Deal with it.
