I'm watching the Olympics again tonight and I happen to notice all the different kinds of swimmer's goggles and all the different shapes of faces. Since these goggles have to keep water out, they've got to seal perfectly I would think. Your thoughts?

Good question...when I used to swim, it wasn't easy finding goggles that would stand diving into the water...but that was a long time ago.

I use the "Swedish Goggles Ant-Fog" you see here: Malmsten Goggles. Assembly required, but they fit very well without having to tighten the rubber strap so much your eyeballs pop loose. I wish I'd tried them when I swam in high school. Also, they cost about as much as a Wix 51356 oil filter.

from my swimming days we used the swedish goggles (no foam, just hard plastic socekting into your eye socket). You had to assemble them and you "built" it for your face and eyes so only you could really use it. you had to glue the nosestring once you got the setup right so after that you're good. Yes, and they were dirt cheap, best goggles ever made. you could get dark tinted ones (one way mirror) which was good for the african sun...
