Greetings:

Are Liquid moly products reputable? I have been looking at their moly additives, and also their viscosity oil additives. I have been using PP and most recently Pennzoil Ultra 5w30. However, I would consider using one of their viscosity within 3,000 miles of my oil changes. Just as long as their products don't contain teflon, like "SLICK 50 products" and or other similar snake oil products. BMW AND VOLVO seem to promote Liquid Moly products. What say you.

They have an excellent range of TÜV approved products.

Why would you think that ANY additive would be needed when you are using one of the very best oils of the day. FWIW --Oldtommy

I've used their MoS2 additive and so have a few friends of mine, we're happy with it. It seems to be a good solid company with many satisfied customers.

I'm currently using their MoS2 additive in a 93 Aerostar, an 88 E-150, and a 6 hp mower. It has completely eliminated start up smoke in the mower.

LIQUI MOLY has a stellar reputation as an additive manufacturer,
PU is a top shelf oil and really shouldn't need anything additional.

Its difficult for some people to believe that no additives are need just the oil, they feel like they are some way short changing their engine.Years ago this may well have been true but if the engine is clean running a oil like PP,PU,Mobil 1,Amsoil,Castrol edge ect nothing extra is really needed.
Neglected or engines where the history is unknown are a different story.
