API SQ oil in the wild

I’m not seeing the benefit whatsoever

Maybe some slight drawbacks TBD

NO rush here.
Probably no advantage and hopefully no disadvantage for port injection engines.
I'm changing the oil in my wife's car as soon as I see higher end full synthetic SQ oil in 10w-30 or 5w-30 flavors. As that one is DI.

I know this thread is about SQ, but I want to see SS! Another thought is, when we get to SZ, what happens after that?
Haha. SS has a very positive connotation in the History of Chevrolet but unfortunately is has a negative connotation left over from WWII. I am willing to bet SS will be skipped over and they will go to ST instead. You recall SO got skipped over because it sounded like Esso, which is still in use as a registered trade mark of Exxon Mobil. :D

I think you are correct, I did not know that SO was skipped over! That could be because for some reason I did not follow the SM and SN spec and now I saw this Thread.
