My 2017 VW GTI has this weather seal along the top edge of the door. Unfortunately the sun has gotten to it over the years and the seal no longer presses against the body of the car. Letting in water during heavy rain fall, I've tried pulling back on the weather stripping and it's able to be put back into it's original shape but I think the sun warped it and it just springs back.
I've tried 3M weather stripping adhesive but it only worked for about a month before failing. Any suggestions on something that will adhere the rubber stripping to the car door? It's a painted surface but I prepped it well but still failed.
