Diamonds are a colossal rip off. You will have to throw all the old financial teachings out the door when we finally get back to real money. Gold will back the crypto too.

With the possible exception of the industrial diamond market, diamond "collecting" pretty much died off with Zsa Zsa Gabor. With that said, I wouldn't count on the De Beers family driving Subaru's anytime soon.
