Anyone using Supertech HM right now?

I just dumped it today. My car consumed more oil this interval than the previous 2.

tropartic 10w30 4622 miles,it used 96 oz., 96.oz 10w30 top up = 1 oz. every 48.14 miles

tropartic 5w30 4657 miles, it used 122 oz., 96 oz. of 10w30 ,26oz. of 5w30 top up = 1 oz. per 38.17 miles

supertech high mileage 10w30 3474 miles,it used 96 oz.,30 oz.of 10w30 66oz 10w40 top up = 1 oz. every 36.95 miles


I have 10w40 maxlife in now and will compare it.

BrianWC, Respectfully, you are not a sucker you are a consumer and marketing has figured out how to extract that extra .30 from your pocket while giving you nothing but a good feeling in exchange.

I know what you're saying Terry. But isn't there at least some change in formulation between hm and regular oils? I could see if it was only a difference in viscosity, but if there are other differences in formulation only available in the hm such as increased ZDDP or moly along w/ whatever else...What's the difference between that and someone buying a bottle of VSOT?

What in your experience, does the extra .30 give us (besides good feelings)?

Also, Terry, I'd be interested in hearing if you feel the same way about all HM oils or if it's just the SuperTech variety? I assume it's all HM oils.

I respect your comments more than anyone else's on this site, so I'm very interested in what you have to say about the HM oils.
