What? You have no idea what you’re talking about. Most of what we’re using there’s a good chance is re-refined and we’re just not informed of it.
Of course that’s the one of the values of approvals, certifications and licenses. With these you have proven real world performance for their “hard earned” vehicle.it would be good if the oil blenders/ manufactures were more transparent on the base oils they use, along with better informative specs of their product, instead of just guessing what's in it.every one would be more interested in the product sold for their hard-earned vehicle. Reputation of the engine oil manufacture/blender can or cannot mean anything without proper information to the public.
well said, I agree.Of course that’s the one of the values of approvals, certifications and licenses. With these you have proven real world performance for their “hard earned” vehicle.
I agree - it's not even cheaper than many other very reputable options. Why bother with the risk?Sorry but I'm with many of the other posters. How does one find such a product in a sea of reliable products? especially being a member of a forum dedicated to oil?
Rhetorical question, I'm just impressed, I guess.
Is it on that list? Maybe I just missed it.Before the company rep swooped in here with some additional details, I was about to say:
This is exactly why PQIA consumer advisories and alerts exist.

It meets all requirements of Mercedes Benz, BMW, VW and Porsche and costs only $23.48 at Walmart.I'm sure that has no approvals. Why get this at $30 vs. M1 or any other name-brand Euro 40 for less?
You can get an oil with actual approvals for about the same or even less.It meets all requirements of Mercedes Benz, BMW, VW and Porsche and costs only $23.48 at Walmart.
And yet it's not on the Mercedes approved list:It meets all requirements of Mercedes Benz, BMW, VW and Porsche and costs only $23.48 at Walmart.
On the back of the container, it lists MB Approval 229.3, 229.5. I highly doubt that's false advertising. The oil is so new that it has not been placed on that list you posted yet, but I believe it's legitimate. I'll likely use it myself. And yet it's not on the Mercedes approved list:
