Anyone used AutoZone parts delivery?

Noticed that A-zone will deliver for $8.99. said that if I order by 6p I will have parts here within 3 hrs.

Since going to town will cost me 1/2 that much in gas plus an hour of my time it sounds like a swell deal.

Wonder if they will blacklist me after coming up my dirt road?
we used to deliver at AAP but i believe that ended, not after 5pm

They have done this along with other parts stores since the stuff hit at least around here. Hopefully they will continue it on too. Great if you are in the middle of a project and don’t want to have to run all over town trying to find the stores or get sidetracked because you want to stop everywhere on the way. Or if you only have one vehicle.

check out advance auto. They seem to do free deliveries. I had them deliver me some clearance items that equated to about $5. They even had to pay a toll for a bridge to bring it to me. There is no way they made any money on that order.
Yeah I had a guy drive a dodge caravan WITH TRAILER 16 miles one way to deliver one foot of fuel hose that I got for $1 from them.

And they got the order wrong-- I wanted 3/16, they sent 3/8.

Quite the improvement from 10 years ago when I wanted something special ordered that they could have gotten on a "hub run" but they tried to charge me shipping to the store. I was like, I can order stuff at home LOL.

I tried it late November last year. Bought and received the part in less than 12 hrs, but it was shipped through FedEx. 3 hr turnaround is nice if it actually works.

Can’t beat $8 shipping either. HF is similar. 1 hr of drive time alone and I’m guessing I’d use at least half that in gas.

We use Autozone for competitive make parts or just random supplies we need same day and can't wait for another vendor. Years ago their rep was begging us to use them. I threw them a bone and ordered an intake gasket for my 95 Mustang since I was doing spark plugs that weekend. They delivered the wrong part with the right one billed on the invoice. Now I have personally done this before so I can't get too angry, but they have notes where the shipment was inspected by a manager before leaving. Their commerical manager guy who was begging for the business was the one who did the delivery. I looked at him and then down and the part number and said "this is why we don't use you."

My local AutoZone had a cute blonde delivery woman. Then last week they fired her for not reporting her other job and some other thing she messed up on🤬
One thing that we have done with O'Reillys and Autozone is cherry pick their best people and offer them jobs. We have had 2 who were/are awesome. They were the only ones who would go out of their way to be helpful.

Yeah, I tried asking the main pets specialist woman at my AutoZone to come work with me. She’s thinking about it.
