Anyone use TMobile? Thinking of switching from Verizon

i am on t mobile and their popularity these days is a reason to not go with them . they have grabbed so many new customers that congestion is a big deal now in heavy populated areas. my data can be very slow sometimes in a heavy use area and i am on post paid so i get priority .

We’ve been with T-Mobile since 2017, had AT&T before that. In my area, it basically mirrors AT&T’s coverage, and when we went down to Georgia it worked great the entire time. At work, Verizon doesn’t work at all in our building, AT&T is very spotty, but T-Mobile works just about everywhere inside.

Cell phone service is very location specific. I have TMO in one family member's plan and it works just fine in a "medium size city" in Bay Area for a US standard, but my inlaws with TMO at the edge of our city is having intermittent service with an Asia purchased Samsung phone from 3 years ago.

To be fair I also have been in area where ATT is the only one with signal (South San Francisco Oyster Point, where most Biotech is at).

If you are switching try to get a newer phone that support the bands in your area after the TMO / Sprint merger. Make sure it is on the support list from TMO.

I use TMobile 4GLTEfor internet at home but no good for the phone as they don't have anything south of me at all.

I've had T-Mobile in Metro Kansas City for 5 years now. It's been wonderful and I've never had any issue with the service. The tax included plans are great deals

If the 5G phone trade in deal is still in play, that's an excellent value. I traded in a $10 cricket flip phone for a brand new 5G phone

Recently went with TM ... they sent me a letter offering a deal on their 55+ service, so I took it. Locally the system is flawless, and I've not had any trouble connected in some very rural counties in Oregon and California. The only issue I had was getting an accurate location pinpointed in a rural California county, but service was fine.

I've had Metro by T Mobile for years. I've got mostly good things to say about it to anyone who asks. The few qualms are easily looked over for the cost.

We had Sprint since 1999 (PCS back then) and now it's T-Mobile. Experience seems to be local but as mentioned they do have a decent world-wide data allowance (and free unlimited texts) which many of the other carriers do not. If you travel it can save you $10 a day.

If you only need one phone you may want to look at Goggle Fi. If you need a family plan there are better options.
Fi uses T-Mobile and it has worked well for me. Now that Sprint is kaput TM is the main signal supplier for Fi. I had TM for about 10 years prior to going with Google Fi, it has served me well. DO make sure they have a strong presence in your area if you go with T-Mobile or Google Fi.

Wife and I both had T Mobile. We liked it but had poor coverage in our area. Switched to Consumer cellular. So far no problems. I had Pure Talk be fore T Mobile and it had good coverage in our area. Camping areas we visit have no T mobile coverage.

I have Mint Mobile which uses T-Mobile's towers. I have no complaints with the service. I live in a fairly rural area in Kentucky and I don't notice myself losing signal any more than I did with Verizon near where I live and work. So for my usage it's great and saves me a ton of money.

Last month I took a trip to Colorado and I can confidently say that T-Mobile is not the best in desolate areas, like those long stretches of interstate between towns in central/western Kansas. My wife's phone uses AT&T towers, and she had service in a lot of remote places that I didn't. But for the amount of money I'm saving, I can certainly live with it, and I think T-Mobile service overall is improving quickly.
I'm under the impression that TMob uses AT&T for roaming when there is no coverage. So you should have the same coverage as your wife(?)

I have been an off and on T-Mobile customer for years. T-Mobile's network is light years ahead of where it was 10 years ago. My work phone is AT&T and I usually get better signal on my personal phone on T-Mobile.

But yeah what tmorris1 said - find out what's best in the areas you will use it at. I was at the beach in the Florida Panhandle last week and once I got more than a couple of miles away from the beach (Like near the ECP airport) T-Mobile signal was almost nonexistant whereas I had signal on AT&T.

TMobile offers a good plan for those age 55+ and I can save on what I pay to Verizon. Can anyone tell me anything good or bad about TMobile?
I switched from VZ years ago to AIO which turned into Cricket after ATT purchased Cricket. Decent coverage, $35/mth for 10gb and save $10 for every additional line, I believe.

Verizon treats me well. Unlimited everything for $60/month. I am month to month also, probably get the IPhone 12 in September
