I have read a lot of good things about this product on here so I am going to run it in all of the family vehicles. 04 Odyssey, 02 Sonata, 05 Outback, and the Azera in my signature. Drain and fill followed by the Lubegard.

Has anyone ever run into any downsides or problems while using this product as it tells you to?

I'm sure someone out there knows someone, who knows someone, who had a problem. I've used it with good results, no complaints here, and I don't know anyone who knows someone who had a problem.

honda and subaru recommend using lubguard in some of thier TSB's.Honda has had problems with thier auto transmissions for years, id use it on the odyssey ASAP.

it fixed my lebarons harsh shifting, so i can say with confidence that its safe and affective

No negatives only my benefits. Did a atf exchange in a 05 scion tc 95k miles, 02 Hyundai accent 90k miles, 01 Mitsubishi Mirage 190k, 97 subaru legacy gt 150k and finally a 97 ford Probe gt 165k all with valvoline maxlife atf and a bottle of lubegard red improved every car shift quality. The legacy and probe greatly smoothed out first two gears tremendously. Lubegard red bottle is the only transmission additive to use on atf's. Do it.

I am using it in my Titan and Mustang, Improved shifting. I am using it with MaxLife ATF. I would not recommend using it in a CVT though. Never heard of a bad experience. Some say snake oil, but it is a reputable product. Ask TRAV on this board, he knows a lot about it.

I use Lubegard red in my 2 late model Chevys. There are no problems with the transmissions, it is used as a precaution. I did notice the transmission temp is lower in my 2010 Silverado after I added the Lubegard.

Have only had positive experiences in very different transmissions ('07 Accord and '91 Ford Ranger).

The Ranger already had M1-ATF for 20k when I added a single bottle of LG red. Saw shifting improvement in about 50-100 miles.

At Trav's suggestion to another Bitoger, I added a second bottle. Improvement, to my surprise, was almost immediate and that much better than the single bottle.

Highly recommend their stuff.

Some folks dislike it but never seem to have tried it, thus have no experience with it, and then criticize it. Go figure.

I've used it in my 1991 Nissan Sentra since it claims to lower ATF temps. The car has no atf cooler nor I could find one for 5/16" ATF lines. Haven't done any atf temp readings and I've also noticed smoother shifting from the 212,000mi 3spd at trans.

Negative on Lubegard ?

Yes, one big negative: Not available at Walmart for $2-3/bottle ! Otherwise never hear anyone complaint about any Lubegard products.

Hah true, but certainly not Lubegard exclusive, just try to have a reasonable discussion about MMO!

I've had LG Red in both of our cars for several months, and have nothing but good to say about the product. It has made both vehicles' transmissions smoother. I drive my Focus much more than I drive my wife's Fusion, so I can sense a bigger difference on the Focus. It is a great product, and I will probably never own another AT transmission without this product in it.

I guess now we just wait for one of the users of the product that frequent the boards to say their transmission "froze" up because it lowered the operating temp so much.

I have used this product in everything i service (thats a lot of vehicles) and never had any problems with it.
I have only the highest praise for it, it works even better than advertised.

Agree!

If someone has tried "X" and had poor or no results, that's fine, and it's good to know about it.

The "I never use any 'X' but will tell you it's useless" is closer to ideology. It doesn't really contribute factual or experiential information to the discussion...in fact it dismisses facts or others experience...nor is it open to new information that, hey, things might be different now.
