Anyone familiar with PartsMaster ATF?

I got a box of this PartsMaster Mercon V, and can find nothing about it on the interwebs other than 1 forum thread somewhere where a guy had transmission failures in 2 vehicles after using it.

Anyone use it or aware of it?

Must be old stock, Valvoline was split from Ashland like 5 years ago, Ashland was the parent Company of Valvoline but they split the company , Ashland continues as a chemical company while Valvoline handles the lubricant products.

If it was made by Ashland the transmission failures were not caused by the fluid.

Got any Auto Value/Bumper to Bumper auto parts stores locally? That is their house brand. There is a single store about 25 miles from here that delivers parts to some local indies. Should be good oil.

Like others have said - house brand oil from an auto value associated store made Ashland/valvoline.

Have used gallons of their various atf's (actually all lubes) with zero issues, so use with confidence.

If it is licensed, should be good.
