I hope you are right, I just ordered one from them yesterday. I emailed them with some questions, and was satisfied, so made the purchase. NP246 for my 2500 Suburban. Maybe i will take some pictures of the process and how the new unit looks. The guy I spoke with said they replace everything except the shaft, planet, and from case half. We will see, thanks.Just verified I absolutely did pick up a transfer case from that company. I saw them on Amazon and then ordered directly. Shipping was quick. Return label was prepaid and they took a core with a hole in it knowingly! Transfercase looked good and didn't leak also engaged. I think for the price you can't go wrong
Keep us posted ! They were great on the phone . Heads up. It's been a few months but I feel like there's take 5w30 motor oil instead of the autotrac or dex 6 ( depending on which transfer case you have ). It had a tag. I even called to verify. Just wanted to mention because I found it odd so I called. It came with the gasket. All I had to swap was the sensors and fill it ! Get some fresh razor blades because the paper gasket will absolutely be stuck on the transmission side in pieces. You can handle this one your self. Need an 11 mm to drop the rear driveshaft. A bucket to catch some fluid. The front driveshaft. Some sensors and the 6? 15mm ( don't quote me ) nuts holding it to trans. They are magnesium case so arent too heavy! Good luck.I hope you are right, I just ordered one from them yesterday. I emailed them with some questions, and was satisfied, so made the purchase. NP246 for my 2500 Suburban. Many transfer case pumps will rub on the outside rear case half and punch their way through the case. Their are these little metal clips that are placed in the unit to prevent this, but they fall out, then the pump chews into the case. It takes a long time, not a one and done thing. What is this?
I'm just about to do it on my 263XHD for it's second time. The first owner had it done just before he sold it to me. The transmission shop said they did the fix but it wasn't on the receipt. It's starting to weep right where it should, I already bought the parts from Merchant, including a new half case. Many transfer case pumps will rub on the outside rear case half and punch their way through the case. well that sucks. Is it cheaper to buy the kit and rear case half or buy the tranfercase as new?I'm just about to do it on my 263XHD for it's second time. I know it no the right way, but you reckon a good JB Weld job would do the trick? It's a lot cheaper to buy the kit and the rear case.
