I love donaldson filters but has anyone used one of their endurance or endurance plus filters in a gasser? The endurance plus actually contain an additive ala fram high mileage, Calcium sulfonate (thickener/extreme pressure additive in grease?) mainly with some Diphenylamine (seal conditioner?). They are guaranteed for 60,000 miles but are not bypass filters I don't think. Pretty neat stuff expensive though.
Anyone ever use a donaldson endurance filter?

I'd love to but I can't find them anywhere. I know there is someone on here who uses them in a FL1A style filter, which would be exactly what I need, however I think that he had to buy a case of them.
I use the P169071 synthetic media filters in my land rover. The endurance filters are a lot more money and I can't seem to find a cross reference for a 3/4"-16 filter.
I read somewhere they make The ANSoil filters for them. They are nowhere to be found around here.

That (P169071) is not an endurance filter though. I guess a $60 filter that lasts 60k miles in a gas engine makes little sense.

True, it's not labeled under the Endurance trademark, but it is the SYNTEQ version of a gasoline filter. There are only 2 that I'm aware of. There could be more
Yeah I have the donaldson P169071 on the discovery now, think that is pretty much the best I am going to find for it especially for the $12.

Correct. Though as Gary said, it's the closest Donaldson product for a gas engine. It has the filter media, just not the "magic additive" technology. Which is fine by me.

I always figured they had a built in bypass filter but I don't think that is the case. They range in price up to $100 (ELF7900) so maybe it is just a size thing.
Looking inside does it look like it has standpipe? I ask because the website shows it as a Perkins (among other) applications. Many Perkins apps seem to require a standpipe.

You're right. The brochure states that there's a "controlled chemical release process". I wasn't aware of this ..but I really had no cause to research it.
