Anyone else watch Two Guys Garage on Motortrend? Noticed this...

There isn't some alternate spelling of Dexron that I'm unfamiliar with, is there? I was watching Two Guys Garage on Motortrend the other day and they were showing an episode dedicated to fluids and maintenance and I noticed this. Not once, but twice (edit: actually 3 times!) they misspelled Dexron.

It's a fairly common mistake but it's unfortunate that theirs actually made it on air without someone noticing first.

True gearheads know how to spell Dexron and Mobil. It's easy to weed out the phonies when people put things in writing.

Agree. I usually flip through those segments that are 100% ads and see if there is anything interesting. I record stuff like this to watch in bed to help me fall asleep.

One of my pet peeves here where one would think BITOGers are more hip to things lube.
Mispelleing "intact" is numero dos.
Others common even here:
Refering to piston ring grooves as "lands". No, the grooves are cut between the lands, folks. Carbon and crud buildup sticks rings in the grooves, not the lands.
Oil "galleys". What, an oil tanker with rows of oars? No, oil flows through "galleries". Lifters are fed oil through the lifter galleries. "Galleys" are long, oar powered, military vessels or kitchens on a ship, train, or airplane.

Galleys or galleries are both appropriate. When I was learning mechanics, before you were born, we were taught galleys.

On point, I thought galleries were places where people exhibited art or photographs, etc.

A more glaring mistake is the reference to "Dextron 4" in the first image. As far as I know, neither Dextron 4 nor Dexron 4 exists.
