Anyone done a cylinder head gasket job

yep. I do not like any of my vehicles dripping anything. But to settle you down, I am strongly leaning towards giving it to my son in law for a project and getting the Lexus SUV.
 
parroting that it is a very common engine to blow head gaskets. unless you really enjoy it, expect to pay $500+ alone in parts and machinist costs to get it repaired with your own free labor. the only thing going for it is 4x4.

Yea, Maybe I don't understand Toyota's but I've thought head gaskets leak coolant. Or is it just a rubber penetration into the head? Gunk it up with silicone sealant.
 
LOL, I've settled down. I'm with you on hating leaks, but with 9 vehicles, I guess I have to choose my battles. I'd have to quit my job if it took 20+ hours of labor to fix every leak.

BTW, some replies are using the term "blown head gasket". I wouldn't consider this one as being blown.
