Anyone change out a Buick Rendezvous Radio Unit???

I wasn't sure where to put this, so if it needs moved just move it to the correct thread.

I have a 2004 Buick Rendezvous with Onstar (don't use it), NO rear entrainment system, and 6 speakers.

I looked up on crutchfield and they say you have to get a special GM harness that cost almost as much as the radio unit itself.

I am looking for a double din, with AUX jack and bluetooth and use of factory steering wheel controls.

Has anyone switched out a radio in a Rendezvous? Any tips, or helpful suggestions?

Is there a temperature control on the steering wheel? If so, you probably need the OE radio to maintain that functionality.

If you need, I can look up the wiring info on this vehicle when I get home in the evening.
