Anyone buy tires from Amazon ?

I’ve ordered my last two sets for both cars from Amazon. Had them delivered to local tire place (Mavis). They mount and balance for $15.99 apiece. Fresh production dates. Zero problems. For how and where I drive they seem to fit the bill. YMMV.

They no longer sell tires. Shame too, decent prices.

Amazon still sells tires as of today (see example below). However, they no longer sell to customers in Alaska or Hawaii due to shipping issues/costs.

I always buy tires on walmart.com. The only problem I ever had was that I missed, or the ad didn't state, that a pair of tires I bought were directional. So read everything very carefully.

Stopped going to WalMart for mounting and balancing after one of their tire people massively overtorqued my wheel nuts. Bought tire tools and now I do them myself.

Even if you read carefully, they sent 2 and 3 years old tires. That's what I got a couple days ago. No more trust. They were not stated from those years. This is their descriptions: Tire Vredestein Pinza HT 245/55R19 103H AS A/S All Season.

Would be interesting to know if you ordered some, did they ship from an amazon warehouse direct, or a local tire wholesaler. You should know by the tracking number.

I would be more comfortable if they came from a local wholesaler.

I bought tires from US Amazon in May 2019, Sumitomo Encounter HT in 215/70R16 for Sportage, price was US $78.06 per tire with free shipping. I still run them outside winter, still like them, they were one of the cheapest in size and categories that I wanted.
Tires were shipped from SimpleTire.

Did you get the tires shipped directly to your local tire shop ?

Are these tires from manufacture or a tire distributor ?
haven't yet but wouldn't be opposed to it. I like the many choices available under $400 for 4 tires shipped to my doorstep.

Were these from amazon or Walmart? I've bought many from Walmart and all were fresh dates. Never bought any from amazon. I don't buy anything from amazon anyway.

Bought Yokohama's from them three times. Two times they came from Amazon directly and once they came from Simpletire. No issues. The Avid Ascend from Simpletire was the longest lasting tire I ever owned. Changed them with 85k miles and they still had 3/32 tread. Not bad for H rated tires They were pretty darn good.

I've bought tires from amazon, walmart, ebay, and maybe directly through a tire site.

I've always had them shipped right to my door.

When I bought tires for the Civic, Amazon had them.. But they drop shipped them from a small tire shop in southern California. Tires were fresh (about 10months old) and balanced up well. Recently ordered up some brake rotors, Amazon, once again, drop shipped them, but this time from the manufacturer directly. Even if it's shipped/sold by Amazon it might not be in Amazon's warehouse.
