36 laps, no pit stops or tire changes and no charging. At the end of the race they all had less than 1% battery left.
I couldn't watch it very long. It sounded like those slot car racing centers of long ago multiplied times 1000. The shrill shrieking of accerlation and braking started to sound like fingernails on a chalkboard to me. Their Hankook tires had tread on them like a high performance summer tire.

Same here. Slot car racing.
If this is the future of racing, I'm out.

I tried to get into Formula E when it started. The theory behind it is neat, but the whole thing is too gimmicky for me.
I tried too, but it is a bit abstract trying to manage the energy usage, although F1 is pretty similar in that aspect with fuel and tire management. I should watch indycar too, but I seem to only have the interest to follow F1, even though I know there are better racing series. I do watch some motoGP as you can see how hard the rider is working and bike moving around under them.
Dodge is on to something with make an electric car noise sound sort of cool somehow?
E dirt bikes are probably more fun technically to ride, as power management is now simple, so you can focus on other things. But also managing two stroke power is entertainment in itself even though its slower than an EV equivalent.
