Its been a while since ive posted anything but i still cruise the HDEO forum a few times a week. I enjoy reading Dnewtons posts as i like his aproach to extended drain intervals. He usually chimes in on every topic but not recently. After finding out what happened to the "mopar ecodiesel" guy it got me wondering where a few other of my favorites went. Any insight into what happened to dnewton? Thanks to all in advance!

OMG! I was thinking the exact same thing and was going to post this very question earlier this evening. Scary

Where are you dnewton?

Who?

Shawn capson. He was known as mopar ecodiesel on youtube. He made videos about his Ram Ecodiesels longevity. He was like that Powerstrokehelp guy in alot of ways. He was really smart but also very high strung. There was a link on another forum to his moms facebook page where she explains he took his own life.

It really made me sad to see a pic of him with his son on his go-fund-me page. Its a shame. Im still wondering about dnewton though. Oh, the other loss to the diesel DIY world is "Diesel tech ron". He also made self help videos about powerstroke engines on youtube. He was killed in a car accident according to his youtube page.

Sometimes we just hang up our spikes and call it a posting career.

I did similar with a Detroit Tigers messageboard last week. I was a member there since it was founded back in 2000. Also removed myself from a huntingnet muzzleloader/blackpowder messageboard last year. Was there since 2003.

We sometimes need to back-off and go in a different direction. Life is short and there's so much to do-yet..... away from my computer chair.

He had a bunch of posts in 01, 1 post in 02, none in 03, and 3 posts in 04. Since then, nothing.

I don't own a diesel Ford truck, but i've watched lots of DieselTechRon videos on YouTube. Very sad to see him killed in car accident and could have been prevented. RIP.

Is that true that he committed suicide? If so, that makes me sick ... so sad when someone gets so low that they do that.
