There are no online loop holes. There isn't a gun dealer in the country that will sell you a gun direct without it going to a FFL dealer to complete the transfer.
That's what I though, so every time I hear some statement on TV that makes it sound like you can just get on-line and have a gun delivered to your doorstep somewhat agitates me.
Low information media reporters who know NOTHING about the subject....which is a problem.
Most liberals I know are really shocked when they watch the NICS demo video on Youtube.
Soooo, true! The liberal media loves to barter in mis-information so that it can further it's leftist agenda without having to resort to facts!
I can't tell you how many people think that you can buy online and not go through a dealer. There's nothing wrong with being ignorant of an issue, but it drives me crazy when people spout opinion when they have no idea what they're talking about.
I have bought, and sold, quite a few guns on gunbroker.com (and gunsamerica.com and others) and never had a problem. For the most part, these are good ole boys who believe in America and our rights. They play by the rules, and get the job done. Sure, there's a turd in every place that people gather, but you'll find a lot of really fine people that deal in guns. Not the crazy, zealots, the press would have you believe. Some of the best people I've known were met through online dealings in guns.
