hey all on my 14 acura rdx, i tried to remove the pcv valve today but it was super hard and i couldnt get it out.
i have the j35 in my vehicle but they all are slightly different, mine has vcm so the pcv valve is on top of the oil cap
i watched a ton of videos but some other j35 models have a tad more access to be able to get 2 hands in there mine sadly doesnt
i first removed the air vent intake thing and that gave me a bit more space, and then i was able to get the bolt out with an extension and i ws able to wiggle it but i cant get enough grasp to remove it. i was being careful and didn't wanna pry with anything as it seems everyone has cracked theres with prying aahah.
i then needed more space and i removed the metal coil harness shield thing, that allowed me a tad more space, i then disconnected the coil connectors and also whatever other connectors were nearby as it gave me a tad more leeway since now i could pull the harness a bit. by this time i had way more space but still only enough for one hand to fit in
i called it quits for today, next time i am thinking of trying as hard as i can to remove that coil harness or get more leeway, i believe it is also bolted onto the engine block somwehre so maybe that will give me more slack, or is there a way i can get disconnect the whole thing, its the main thing in the way
or anyone have any other tips or is this the point i have to use a pick or a screwdriver?
