I know people in this forum talk about Rislone and MMO being able to clean out an engine and help things like sticky lifters and such. Well we were cleaning out my dad's old speed shop to dig out a 348 Tri Power motor and found a case of Rislone he won about 10 years ago and just chucked in the back. I thought about dumping some in the wifes car and wondered if it would help finish off the sticky lifter that the MMO had helped quiet a bit earlier

I've never put it in an engine but it will clean up syncros on old junkyard trannies and make them shift pretty good again!

Stopped the quart of a liter oil loss I had in my 2004 Accord 4cyl engine in a week or two, did the same for my 2000 Neon engine, and I only used 200mls, not the full liter recommended - great stuff if you ask me!

I have never seen it work for anyone and as a car guy most of my friends are car guys and where as teenagers too! So if it was going to do something I would expect to have seen it do it by now. In fact I never known anyone in real life that has had any results with it at all.At least with MMO I have seen it quite noisy lifters and used it myself to unstick a valve in a rebuilt engine and seen it do some mild cleaning!

I didn't have any luck with Rislone freeing up my lifters. MMO in combination with GC 0W30 seems to be better options, although they are still ticking when the engine is cold.

Thanks guys. Well I dumped some in and will run it and see what happens. I mean it was free so I am not exactly out of any money.

If it does not work, its back to MMO.

Knowing her, she will probably total the car long before that 3100 wears out.
