Any Red Flags with this Subaru?

Thanks for all the replies, only casually looking right now not super serious. But probably in the next few months. This was a sort of left field pick, I'm more interested in a truck and keeping the Corolla for fuel sipping duties.

I'll give the subie credit though it is a solid ride 👍

Casually looking at a newer vehicle, the Forester is one I'm looking at. Test drove one near me and was impressed overall.

This one caught my eye but was wondering why it was traded(assumed) with such little mileage? No issues I see on Carfax but any input appreciated 🙏

Try out the seats for a good while. As with any car some people love them, others hate them; this is especially true in Foresters for some reason.

The only thing I see wrong with it is that it's a Subaru. My buddy bought one for his wife when they had their first child. The "boxer" style engine drank engine oil as fast as gasoline. It turned into a nightmare, dealer was no help, finally found out there was a class action lawsuit over it. Ended up getting rid of it and never looked back.

Those were really bad times for Subaru. The issue was traced back to faulty manufacturing of pistons IIRC. I've had excellent mechanical experience with my 17 3.6 Outback at 185k. That said I would not buy another. Mine is a limited and the leather seats are the cheapest I've ever owned. Lots of people on Subaru boards with cracked leather seats, mine included. Parasitic drain on the battery, which is undersized to begin with. Subaru had to admit it and has a voluntary recall I believe on the Starlink system. It was constantly searching for a 3G signal when 3G no longer is viable. Many other annoying cheap parts issues. Info screens are know to tank or have ghost changes on you.
