Casually looking at a newer vehicle, the Forester is one I'm looking at. Test drove one near me and was impressed overall.

This one caught my eye but was wondering why it was traded(assumed) with such little mileage? No issues I see on Carfax but any input appreciated 🙏

2025 Forester

I would imagine you can get a good deal on leftover '24s. Same vehicle underneath.
I thought about that as well, I'll have to check them out. Apparently, the 25's are a bit quieter on the road. Salesman said 24's are a "little" noisy but that can be subjective. Need to see for myself, a certified 24 could be a good option.

I'm thinking it got traded in because newer Foresters are hideous and the owner couldn't stand looking at it's front end.

Nothing beats the simple look and quirky appearance of 1st and 2nd Gen Foresters.

The only thing I see wrong with it is that it's a Subaru. My buddy bought one for his wife when they had their first child. The "boxer" style engine drank engine oil as fast as gasoline. It turned into a nightmare, dealer was no help, finally found out there was a class action lawsuit over it. Ended up getting rid of it and never looked back.

2025 Forester
One of the writers at the autopian finally gave up on his Subaru Forrester but his was a 2016. He said it ate headlight bulbs, had more replaced in the first 60k miles than should have been needed and went through wheel bearings at an alarming rate. Now if you're seeing a 2025 already pre-owned on the lot my guess is a buy back if the customer didn't like it.

I have a 22 Subaru wrx that's been excellent so far for 33k miles. New subarus are great. Id recommend a 24 model brand new or a new 2025 instead of this dealership though

Possible but unlikely. More likely it was used by the dealer or Subaru for some type of press event or something of that nature.

We had a 2024 Durango traded in with 5,000 miles on it. Didn't like it because it was black. Probably a $15k oopsie. You see alot of things in the car biz.
