My original was 12 years old when I replaced it and still doing fine. I added a front mount intercooler which blocked most of the airflow to the radiator and it would heat up pretty good in the summer time no matter how easy I drove it. It withstood much abuse such as no antifreeze and couple blown headgaskets that blew the cap clean off and didn't hurt the radiator at all.
It wasn't a Modine, I should be able to remember but I can't right now. It was one of the big manufacturers.
