Of course, Ferrari has ownership issues Acura doesnt
But it also had a 360HP V8..
The Ferrari 355 was about a $130,000 machine when the NSX was about $60,000.
Many car magazines from that time compared the NSX to the 300ZX, 3000GT, RX-7, and Supra. All twin turbo except the Honda.
Occasionally the RX-7 won based on it's chassis. Occasionally the Supra won based on it's engine. More often than not the 300ZX won based on the balance between the Supra's power and the RX-7's poise. I think one magazine one time picked the 3000GT. Probably because they were testing them in Michigan in winter and the Mitsubishi had AWD.
...and occasionally the NSX won. Because it was everything a V6 powered Ferrari promised to be without having parts fall off, overheating in normal traffic, having normal maintenance cost more than a (then) new Kia, or disintegrating into a pile of rust
