My dad's '83 Grand Prix that's been undergoing a slow and steady return to the road

Got 57k on it

LG4 305 with a Turbo 350

Not fast, but an excellent cruiser

I think that classic means different things to different people. For example, I wasn't able to get a "classic car" insurance until my car reached 25 years old. And even to me, classic means before 1971-72 ish. And I've even heard(undocumented) from others that...20 yrs old is a classic and 25 yrs old is an antique.
In that case my 2000 S2000 is now a classic! Muscle? Not much torque but more HP than a lot of V8s from the 60s-70s with 50% less cylinders

I went with my Mom and bought an '83 Monte Carlo, white on padded roof. Buick 231 V6. Nice ride at the time.
The only problem was it ran hot until I replaced the original radiator with a heavy duty model.

Had a 75 Chevy Malibu two door in the mid nineties. It was deep gloss purple with cragar ss wheels and 60 series 15" bfg radials. Had an early 80s 454 truck motor with an RV cam, Holley 750 double pumper and a th400 auto. After I lost it down a straight stretch and managed to recollect it without hitting anything or killing myself, i decided to sell it to a fella who'd been yearning for it. I'd had my fun.

I've installed both of these efi setups on different engines.

👍
As cheap as aftermarket fuel injection has become, theres really not a lot of reason to not install it. The systems are simple, and the sniper with the gold anodized throttle body looks like an OEM carb until you get up close. Perhaps I'm biased though. I never liked carburetors.

I dont have any pics to share at this point but I have 67 Chevy C10 pickup that is a driver and a 70 Cutlass that is the current garage project not running but hopefully this summer it will be.

From oldest to newest. The 78 Chevy k10 my dad bought when I was 5 years old. (I'm 37 now). Hopefully I can fix it up one day. The frame is like new but needs complete body.

The 84 Cutlass is my daily driver until the snow flies. The province considers it "historic" whether or not others consider it a "classic". I've had this car for at least 15 years now.
