Any idea what you spend a month on gas?

crap

I filled the 850 today for the first time in a month, plus I brought the 5 gallon can for the mandatory green hacking outdoor activity (aka yardwork). $50.44 I've never spent so much at the pump before.

The Honda sucks gas like a hydrocarbon vortex (remind me again why I bought an Odyssey). Too many zeros for the internet. I'll get back with you later, I need to go throw up.

Use gasbuddy.com's fuel logbook...it tracks mileage and cost...I enter my info after every fill...these are my totals so far this year

Total Quantity
Purchased (Gallons) Total 356.563

Cost ($) Average $808.65

Price ($/G) Average Fuel 2.269

Economy (MPG) Total # 30.69

Fill-ups 34

I usually fillup every 2 or 3 days...100 miles a day commute goes through gas pretty quick, even a 4 banger

Goose- I looked at Gasbuddy.com, & couldn't find a fuel logbook anywhere. Is it at some special subsite?

Doh!

Ya gotta register, right? OK, figured it out. I've always checked gas mileage, but never recorded it, will have to give the logbook a try.

Been taking my car to work recently (some days rode co-workers cars). 220 miles in one day. I can get 2 days on 1 tank of 14.1 gallons @ 35-38mpg. So I fill up every other day for about $35. Co-workers pay a big portion so that helps but... that is a lot of gas

$630

Total for last month, $145

Miles driven about 2500 (I was sick for a week so I did not drive 600 miles that week..

I've been driving the truck to work once or twice a week to get some miles on it for a UOA to make sure there is nothing wrong with it.

Take care, bill

about $250Oz per month. The last 12 months (new kid), we've really only done to and from work, no trips.

I refuse to spend more than $100 a month on gas, unless I go on vacation. With 100 bucks (~35 gallons) I can go on average 700-800 miles. I use my bicycle a lot for short trips (under 5 miles or so) like runs to the post office and supermarket these days.

Forgot to mention, when I bought my boat in 2000, I could fill up the 35 gallon tank for about $45, back when gas was $1.25 here. Considering that on an average boating day, I burn about 12 gallons, at the current $2.50 a gallon, I am not boating as much. Last summer at $3+ a gallon, the boat sat alot more the dock due to the $100+ it took to fill up the tank.

I use my air miles CC for just about every purchase and pay off every month. Earned a trip to Paris this way. This makes it easy to track most expense categories as I download to Quicken every week. Fuel is the easiest to track. I just ran a report last week and on average I spend $350/month.

I wish I could cut this but we don't do a lot of "extra" driving really. My van gets 20mpg going to work (40 miles per day) and I have a Suburban that we only put 10-12k on per year. Bought both of them when gas was $1.65.

Groucho, it is coming out of any spending money you have after you pay all of your bills for the month. This summer, when gas skyrockets again, our fmaily will cut out all of the extras; movies, going out to eat, boating, CDs, DVDs, toys, etc. Joe

I (well my employer) spends about $300 a month on my fuel for my truck. I don't actually know what my wife spends on her Avalanche, as she pays for the gas out of her tips.

Before December, I was spending about $50 or so every 2 weeks.
Since then, I've been diving back and forth to Everett a lot, and now I'm spending about $80-$90 every 2 weeks, so about $160-$180.
Gas prices have gotten nastier lately here. Last fillup was at $2.379 for Chevron. Yesterday I saw is was $2.599, and I've seen $2.669.
