One thing I did because I don’t have the opportunity to get out as much as I like . I found a brand of Hybrid club that I liked and then had them all cut to the same length as a 7 iron . I might have lost 5 yards but I’m much more consistent and predictable. It’s a very hard game to get excellent at . And when you play different courses all the time you need consistency in your shots . Again spend more practice time on chipping and putting. Your score will improve.

go play with some sober responsible golfer buddies a few times before going for a business round just to learn some reasonable etiquette and habits on the course.
Oh goodness, rules of etiquette abound: where to stand while others are swinging, greens' rules (flag stick, ball marker, putting order......), on and on.

I was a country club caddy at age 15 and am an excellent ball washer if any of you are in need of instructions.
