Are there any DINO 5w30's that meet the Honda spec? what about the corvette spec?

I picked up 5qts of PP 5-30 today b/c I was looking at M1, Synpower and PP. the Synpower didn't state the Honda spec... but the M1 and PP did. so I went with the cheaper PP. Didn't go overboard on the filter... just got a regular Purolator; hey it's just a 2006 2.3L Suzuki with 22k. $3.44 for a reg Purolator. napa gold/Wix wants $6.xx!!

nothing sacred about most any spec. PP is an excellent oil, and it will do great for you most likely.

I wouldnt hold my breath for a dino turbo oil...

Most synthetics can't meet HT0-06 so no dino will. Only M1, PP meet HT0-06 currently. Amsoil recommends SSO for this spec. and Petro Canada has a separate oil specifically for HT0-06. Why are you looking for both of those spec's if your car doesn't call for it?

I agree with Buster. There is no need for this. This is similar to running high octane fuel in the same application. Why? You will see no benefit from that spec.

I just wanted to know if any Dino's met it. More of a curiousity thing. Now I'm trying to figure out how long to run that 5-30PP in the Suki. I've been running Dino for 5k-7,5k like the book says. And it still looks pretty good. I wish the car had a Oil Life Monitor like GM & Honda. I put about 12k on my company '08 G6 2.4L ecotech and it still had like 20% left. I changed it out and it wasn't horrible... I've seen worse. I'd like to pull 10K for that little car.
