Any difference between semi syn and full syn ?

Yeah. I'm dying to know myself.
There were multiple threads that I have seen, with the most recent one (past few months I believe) being a late model GM product. Engine failed before reaching 50k miles. Owner changed oil with AMSOIL Signature Series at 25k mile interval. Hopefully with the new engine he/she learned the lesson. I will post the link as soon as I find that thread. Having trouble with this site's search feature.

Now, could it be the oil was never checked and ran low?

I do 10K with Mobil 1 oils and have for 39 years. My engines stay very clean, use no oil in 10K, and show no sign of engine wear.


So---er---TIG---you are essentially following what is in the owner's manual, with easy high-mile daily suburban/rural driving, eh---?
