Any Cat Owners Here?

Can he look out windows? Most cats are "tree dwellers" and they need to be able to jump up on furniture, window sills etc. so they can get a birds eye view. You might want to and build a cheap piece of cat furniture to place in front of a window. That way he can relax and look outside.

Cleo is 20 yrs old and can still jump up onto the sink. She is stone deaf and sleeps mostly with one or another of us. I suspect she is in pain, but at her age , and mine, pain is a way of life. Granted, its been cool and wet lately, but she seeks out sources of warmth. She goes out, but comes in at first opportunity. Plus I think she has a cold or allergies. She sneezes a lot. We all have allergies of one sort or another, so she fits in. I am holding off getting a dog and a cat until she slips away.

That just sounds like a typical cat to me? We've had our Siamese for 18 years and he did that for the longest. He went thru phases where he wanted to sleep in the bed, sometimes on my head. Other times, he just wanted to howl and moan. They're cats, they just do strange things. BTW, another alternative for getting him to stop doing something is a water gun or spray bottle. We've just had to stop allowing our cat in our bedroom since we moved a year ago. He hasn't lost his urge to mark his new territory!

I've read the line that cats are simply women in fur coats. I tend to believe it.

Of course, our cats like me the best even though they were for the kids and oilBabe. I'm most predictable, I don't try to dress the for Halloween, and I'm up in the AM to feed them. So they sleep with me, come to me when they want to be fed, sit with me on the couch.

They know they are safe around me. Not that the kids and wife are unsafe. Just more unpredictable than I am.

Boy you aren't kidding!!!!! I think they're even more complex than a woman - and we all know how hard to figure out women are!

I was going to recommend putting a cat bed next to a window where the cat can look outside and sun himself.
