I have a 06 siverado 4.8 v8 since new it runs about 207 degrees, I've notice all the new GM trucks do the same. What coolant can give me a lower temp. And can i switch to green antifreeze without voiding my warranty?

If you're saying that your gauge's needle is just a hair to the left of center, then that is probably normal. My thermostat is a 195 degree one and that's where my needle sits. Yes, you can do a thorough and complete flush and use the 'green stuff' if you want to.

Your thermostat determines how hot your engine runs, unless you have a clogged radiator or other malfunction. Since all antifreezes utilize glycol as the main ingredient other than water, you will gain nothing by changing brands. You might try a 60%water/40%coolant mix instead of the normal 50/50. Water is the heat transfer component in the coolant mix.

207 is not bad at all. Today's cars run hotter for effiecency and emmisions. No harm at that temp. Now if you were running 230, I'd be concerned. You could add Redline Watter wetter for a better heat transfer, but I doubt the temp would drop much and others are correct the thermostat will keep the temp atleast 195 anyhow. I may be wrong here, but chiming in anyhow.
