HEY guys just bought an 09 sonata with 500 miles just curious does anyone know what coolant comes on this car also does it have platinum or irradium plugs any info appricited

I beleive Hyundai, like Mitsubishi, uses ethylene glycol-based coolant with a service life of 2 years/25,000 miles. Spark plugs will be platinum.

Falcon_LS is right, but Hyundai has recently changed all their cars up here to Iridium plugs. I don't know about the US, but I would guess it would be the same as Canada and uses Iridium.

I run Iridium in my Hyundai, and Hyundai branded green coolant.

NO I DID NOT HAVE 1 there ordering me 1 i bought it as kinda of a demo it looks like regular green though but saleman had no clue i just hope this car gets faster as it breaks in it,s painfully slow my practicly dead grand am 3.1 is probaly faster

I have a 09 2.4 and I cant imagine a situation where I would need more power?? The better fuel economy far outweighs the need for more power. It has a lot more get up and go than my honda element, it also runs at about half the RPM's of the element.

my books says OE is iridium plugs.
Just go 65k miles and change 'em. No reason to leave them in for the 90k-100k lifespan.
