I dropped mine in the outgoing box. Now, I sent one on 3/7 then I mailed another sample albeit at a different post office on 3/14. Butler received the 3/14 sample in four days and vibe sample is posted in UOA forum. However, I just got an email from butler saying they haven't received the 3/7 sample. It's been two weeks. anyone have any experience taking this long? or is the usps holding it for inspection?

I send mine UPS and always in a box. Sure it is a little more $$$ but the UPS guy said its best that way. I did have one of my samples get stuck due to security reasons - the UPS tracking number said something like: detained for security scanning - took like 4-5 days then they delivered it.

Should spend the $$ on a USPS tracking number..

... or spend an extra 60 cents on USPS Delivery Confirmation Service.

ah, then I would have to go to the post office clerk and do the is this hazardous stupidity again.

Related to USPS.

TV news yesterday. Family sells local house, moves to Monatana. Family buys local house, no mail for four months.

Both families have exact same name.

All local family mail sent to Montana.

Montana notified but the "system" requires wrongly-delivered mail to be returned to sender.

Local family undergoing huge hassle. Has to contact all who send them bills via telephone to get amount owed then send it off.

Postal authorites basically tell folks not getting mail, "tough luck, it's the system and it works."

Local TV station airs an update. After local TV coverage USPS decides that, well, something can be done and will ensure folks get their mail.

Nice to know that the bureaucrats running the USPS will never see THEIR pensions disappear or be reduced. The taxpayer's pocket will ensure every last postal worker's pension will always be there with guarenteed cost-of-living raises.

I think you meant "postal patron's pocket". I think the USPS is the one entity that is run somewhat like a business. It's a shame you can't invest in 1st class postal "futures".
