If you think it will not affect everything you pay, you are very very mistaken.
You already worked in transport industry (per your other thread).
everything you consume, is brought in by a truck/semi.
With the industry paying drivers what they want to keep them and still not filling thousands of open positions, you and me are paying for any fuel price increase.
Let this sink in....

Yep, never could figure that one out...it's like when they've finished ruining one state, they move on to the next state to ruin...

I hope gas prices get to $4.25 a gallon. You know why? Because people like you never change. You deserve these prices.

About to go to Germany in a few weeks where it's only about $7-$8 per gallon equivalent... Oy.

Not complaining about our gas prices here that's for sure!

Well I mentioned gas prices in the EU (where I am now) and the word irrelevant came back ... that's interesting when you consider a big part of cost is a global unit price to start with ...

Gas is cheap, very cheap considering inflation over the last 5 decades. Dirt cheap, the only difference between low cost gas Like SC at $2.50 a gallon and high cost gas such as CA at almost $4.00 a gallon are the local and state taxes,. The product, in this gas, gasoline is still low priced.

You sound like one of the state ruiners we were talking about...let me guess, you're probably a big AOC fan, aren't you?

Why do people always bring up prices in Europe? Their prices are higher because their taxes are higher, making the comparison irrelevant...

My answer is that there really isn't one. Just deal with it. I noticed most Americans really don't care about the cost of gas and continue to drive regardless.

Most European countries have extensive public transportation and they are not as dependent on their vehicles. London has the best public transportation in the World. Maybe you can take a taxi to places?

Given you list your occupation as "Landscaping" I assume fuel prices factor into what your boss charges for service. This will in turn have an impact on clients. Unless you are going to start hauling a landscaping trailer with your "sweet mountain bike" I'd be careful denigrating others for driving to work, when the odds are, if your occupation is accurate, your fossil fuel usage, that somebody else is paying for, is likely higher.

I don't own the company or drive. I'm just a summer laborer. I actually hate the job because I am not a morning person and I start work at 6:30am!!!

Don't worry, I wasn't assuming you owned the company, if you did, you would be aware of the impact gasoline prices can have on operating costs.
