Another new Tesla day!

As far as the stalks go, I'm not too worried about the shifter. The new turn signal stock feels funky. It's got a very short throw. It no longer has the tap for flash and full click for turning. I feel like I'm abusing the stalk when I go to turn because the throw is so much longer on the other cars so I end up pushing and pulling on the new car's stalk way to hard.

I'm sure I'll get used to it, but the Performance is my daily and I won't drive the new one that often.

The S3XY stalk has the tap and full setting. I have the right shifter stalk as well, but almost never use it. I have the auto direction setting set to on.

The new one may have both stages. It doesn’t feel like it does though. I will have to check it out further. I don’t like the auto cancel function when changing lanes so it may affect me if that’s the case, but my wife does like this setting so she probably isn’t bothered by it. I know she’ll get used to it well before I will.

Congrats! I like the color(s) as well! I’m trying not to drive a Juniper as I’m content with what I have and know that’ll get the itch going.

Red, white, blue = you win the internets. I love it!!

PS Need to add: Next post from @Torrid : "Can I put 3 40AMP breakers in my 100A service?"
Not at all. He can put 4 or 5 Tesla Wall Connectors on one circuit and they will manage among themselves so as not to exceed the circuit capacity. Will schedule to make sure all connected vehicles are ready at the times they are set to be ready.

A Tesla can be set to charge immediately upon connection.
Or to always start charging at a specific time.
Or to "be ready" at a specific time.

When set to "be ready" the vehicle will optionally run the cabin HVAC. Will also precondition the battery so one doesn't start with restricted performance in the cold.

I was kidding. But good info nevertheless.

That's the benefit of the Wall Charger. I wonder if there is a similar product that could manage your clothes dryer and an EV? Seems like it might sell like hotcakes.

There are units that will switch between the dryer and the charger, but the dryer always takes precedence. It'll only switch to the charger if it's the only thing requesting power.

This looks like it may be a bit different. It appears that even with mobile chargers this would function like a multiple Home Connector setup.

Corrected it for you.

An L1/L2 EVSE is nothing but an extension cord. A very smart safety-checked extension cord.

Charge the EV late at night/early morning. No conflict with clothes dryer, oven, or range.

My wife feels the same about the Model Y refresh, she oohs and aaahs every time she sees one on the road.

But, I'm not willing to consider the financial penalty of dropping the either of our leases early. We have 24 months left on the Mach-E and 18 on the Lightning. I definitely will not buy out the Lightning, I love it, but, the buyout is stupid high. We'll evaluate the market at that point, one thing I learned last time was that the deals are really good around Christmas time.

Yeah, we can't lease Teslas directly from Tesla here. It's not available since we can't pick up in our own state. I only leased a vehicle once and ended up buying it out and keeping it longer. I think the Model 3 is the first car I kept for short enough time that leasing may have made sense. This was really a space issue before it was a want, but by the time she decided she liked it with the current deal it just kind of made sense. I think considering the deal I got selling a used vehicle jumping into the Model 3 it's a wash or a slight loss I'm ok with recognizing.

I hope she likes it because this one is staying for 10 years minimum just like my plans are for mine. I'm done spending money for a while.

Model 3 left today via Carvana. I should have gotten a picture on the truck. The driver was pretty cool. He told me all of their trucks have names based on beers. His was Dos Equis.

All back to stock for the pickup. I still think it looks better with the wheel caps removed(above) with the center cap kit. I also reinstalled the badges and removed the galaxy purple door handle wrap.
