Another miles vs months OCI question

Our 02 Accord hasn't been driven as much lately. Most recent OCI was last August using the oil in my sig. Car's only been driven about 3000 miles since then (mostly city). Am I alright to leave the oil in til April-May? This engine is known for not being hard on oil and I feel like QSUD and the Honda filter can handle this without issue.

I would agree, I'd leave it in til next August (aiming for about 6k)...

that sounds like the kind of driving I do. I could likely get away with an annual oci, but...I stick to 5k/6mo which ever is first, (almost always 6 months), and change during my October and April Vacations. if i take it out any longer i start to get "the Itch" to change oil. and most everyone i know would rather just pay a shop to do it for them, then let me...

Maybe oil does know time.... My manual states to use the OLM, but, if it isnt triggered in a year's time then change it annually.

I think the acids chew up the oil or something over time, built up from short trips.
