The flight path suggests something extremely abrupt stopping the plane from continuing it's flight path so suicide/terrorism are going to be in the forefront. What happened will we ever find out? who knows?
diving during cruise is an odd sort of malfunction
Pilot suicide? ineptitude?
Is the 737/800 the same model that was grounded for a long time due to software issues?
Ehhh. The videos are way too grainy and far away to tell that, imo. There is some speculation on the PPRUNE forum that the video shows that the aircraft had no vertical stabilizer.
Juan does a great job. His explanations are clear, detailed, and informed by his aviation experience. He avoids sensationalism, and idle speculation. He’s a 777 FO with a major airline.I highly recommend subscribing to Blancolirio channel on YT. Juan is a commercial pilot who covers these things with factual evidence and his experience (unlike most news reports that ignorantly speculate). On his initial report he expressed concern about whether the voice & data recorders can be located and whether they are damaged.
Intial video on this crash
Ditto. And Shanghai and Chengdu.I've actually flown on a China Eastern 737 into Guangzhou before, in 2018. Terrible![]()
