Thanks for keeping this thread bumped up. I went back and checked and they actually emailed the card 3 days before I posted last time. It was in my spam folder. Valvoline's venmo method is the way to go.
Valvoline's is the best. Text the receipt, and get the rebate within a day.
All right just following up in case it helps someone.
I called to ask about my receipt, since I was concerned it would just code for Pennzoil Platinum. They took my information and said someone would follow up. I received an email that my receipt was valid, but no rebate yet.
FWIW, in my area Walmart's website inventory status is wrong for Pennzoil Ultra....the website showed that it was unavailable at every Walmart within 40 miles, but the local Supercenter had plenty in stock.
I think that there is a database issue and the SKU used by the inventory checker is wrong, probably one reason why the receipt looks like you bought Platinum.

It definitely pulls up the correct price though when scanned. Just a wrong or crappy description.
I haven't seen it at Walmart in a long time.
I called them as soon as I filed my rebate. I was worried this would happen since the receipt name is pretty generic. I took a photo of the receipt with my oil in the background.
did you call them to see why? I have waited to participate in this rebate because of this.
There is a text line in the fine print section in the link you provided as following, how could you purchase the oil in Walmart and get rebate?

Amazon.com and Walmart.com purchases are not eligible for the rebate, but purchases in a Walmart store are.
Gotta do it the old fashioned way and walk in, grab it off the shelf, and check out, and keep your paper receipt.
Just filed mine and I think I'll get the same treatment. Receipt shows 5qt containers as PZLPL, the 1QT shows up properly as PZLULT. Walmart problem unfortunately.
I'll report back if my technique of including the oil in the background of the photo worked.
Tried to file rebate online with the link, got following message, no matter how many times trying with correct email address, still show " not able to verify email address", see the attachment:

I just submitted mine today and didn't have any problems. Maybe clear your browser cache and try again (?) If that doesn't work maybe a call to the rebate center will help (?)
